Pharmacy at the Children's Hospital

The Pharmacy for the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (Children’s Hospital) is based in the Royal Victoria Hospital and is responsible for all the medicines produced and dispensed to inpatients and day case patients. Chemotherapy for children attending the Children’s Haematology Unit is prepared in our satellite pharmacy aseptic unit within the Children’s Hospital.

Clinical pharmacists based in the Children’s Hospital work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the correct medicines are prescribed, devise and supervise treatment plans for patients and provide information about medicines to staff and patients or parents.
