Jasmine Callow, a midwife at the Mater Hospital, has been selected as Northern Ireland winner of the Johnson’s Baby Mums’ Midwife of the Year Award. – This is part of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Annual Midwifery Awards, which celebrate and reward the excellence, innovation and impact of the midwifery profession in the UK.

Nominations were received from mothers across the country and Jasmine has been put forward for this special Award by one of the mums she recently worked with. As one of six regional winners she is now shortlisted for the national Johnson’s Baby Mums’ Midwife of the Year Award that will be announced in January.

Co-Director for Women’s and Maternity Services, Eliz Bannon said, “We are delighted that Jasmine has won this prestigious award. To be nominated by a new mum shows the level of care provided by our service, and the positive impact our staff have on the childbirth experience, before, during and after labour. Well done Jasmine, and good luck for the national awards!”
