Our phones and switchboards - tell us what you think

31/03/2011

When you lift the phone to call us, we want you to be able to speak to the person you need to speak to, as quickly and easily as possible. However, in an organisation with 20,000 staff, working in many different buildings across Belfast, we know this can sometimes be challenging.

When Belfast Trust was formed in 2007, it merged six smaller healthcare Trusts, each with their own telephone system, and their own way of managing phone calls. Some of that technology now requires replacement.

Making things better

We know that sometimes our telephone systems and services do not meet all the needs of the many thousands of patients, visitors, and staff who use them each week.

We want to change that. We want to make improvements, and provide a high quality, responsive telephone service in the Belfast Trust. We need your help to do this.

Our ideas

To do this we have begun a Review of Telecommunications. In the review we have come up with some suggestions which we think will improve our telephone systems and services.
View these suggestions now.
