The fourth Belfast Trust Annual Report is now available online. ‘In only four years we have travelled a long way,’ says Chairman Pat McCartan. ‘I believe people who work in Belfast Trust are there because they want to make a difference, and I continue to be impressed by not only their level of commitment, but also the ingenuity of staff in finding ways of making the patient and client experience better’

It has been another memorable year for the Trust and the Annual Report gives a flavour of the wide ranging support that we provide to the entire population of Northern Ireland. During the year a total of 109,851 people attended for planned (elective) procedures and 175,878 as outpatients, a total of 3,542 care packages were put in place and the Trust continued to be corporate parent to more than 600 children in care.

‘Anyone who needs to use any of our services can rest assured that we will continue to do our best for them,’ says Pat. ‘We will put all or efforts into making things better.’

To get a snapshot of the work of Belfast Trust, we have also produced an activity factsheet which gives some fast facts about the care provided in 2010/11.
