Belfast City Hospital Tower ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE WORKS on Sunday 10th of January

06/01/2016

Planned essential maintenance works at the Tower; Belfast City Hospital is scheduled for Sunday the 10th of January.

The Tower Block Can still be accessed from the main Entrance

The work includes replacement of essential equipment which is situated on the roof of the Tower and will require the road along side of the Renal Unit to be closed for approximately 24 hours.

The road closure will allow the crane to be positioned to carry out the lifting operations during this work

During the proposed 3-5 hour crane lift the road between the Renal Unit and the Radiotherapy car park will not be assessable to cars and pedestrians. In order to minimise potential disruption, we have deliberately planned for this essential work to take place over a weekend.

We will erect temporary notices ahead of the planned work to provide advance notice to staff, patients and visitors.
