Dying Matters The Big Conversation!

It’s never easy talking about the end on life. Dying Matters Awareness week is from May 9th -15th. Is an annual event aimed at raising awareness of dying, death and bereavement, and enabling and encouraging people to discuss their wishes with their nearest and dearest.

The Big Conversation works on two levels. One a personal level it encourages each one of us to think about end of life plans and what would be important to us – being pain free, being at home, being with loved ones. But also the engaging of the wider public in a circle of life discussion enables the development of planning and policy around end of life care.

In Belfast Trust there will be four information stands throughout the week in areas where there will be a lot of traffic – staff and members of the public:

May 9th in Belfast City Hospital Reception : from 11.00am – 1.00pm

May 9th Grove Health and Wellbeing Centre : from 12 noon – 2.00pm

May 11th Arches Health and Wellbeing Centre : from 12 noon – 2.00pm

May 12 Royal Victoria Hospital Reception : from 12.00 noon – 2.00pm.
