Keeping Children Safe Project boosted with new trainers


Nine new Keeping Children Safe trainers have received accreditation, permitting them to deliver child protection and safeguarding training throughout Belfast Trust area.

The trainers can offer training free to community and voluntary organisations after receiving their Open College Network accreditation certificates.
The Belfast Trust Keeping Children Safe Project highlights issues of child neglect and abuse for organisations to be aware of and responsive to.
It works with a diverse range of organisations, and as a result its trainers come with various professional skills and a wide range of abilities.
The Project has delivered free training in best practice and safeguarding of children for almost 20 years and the new recruits now mean 38 accredited trainers operate.
It is able to deliver on its key message of ‘child protection is everyone’s business’ through its broad reach of trainers and partners.
