Trust Shortlisted for the Business in the Community Wellbeing at Work Award

Belfast Trust’s b well app and website has recently been shortlisted for a Responsible Business Award in Northern Ireland.

Shortlisted in the Wellbeing at Work Award category sponsored by Larne Port, Belfast Trust has demonstrated excellence in inspiring and supporting employees within their workplace to prioritise their health and wellbeing, and embrace positive lifestyle choices.

Damian McAlister, Director Human Resources  & Organisational Development, said: "Caring for the well-being of our staff is a significant priority in the Trust as its impact on the lives and health and well-being of the people who live in Belfast and beyond is profound. To provide safe and high-quality health and social care services requires a workforce which is of itself healthy and to this end we are committed to taking all steps necessary to support our staff to be of their best in terms of their own health and well-being.  We are delighted that our efforts in this regard have been recognised by Business in the Community."

The awards, now in their 12th year, are sponsored by Electric Ireland, and in association with Ulster Business Magazine. Chair of Business in the Community NI, Roy Adair, said: “We are delighted to recognise and celebrate organisations that are doing the right thing by their people, the planet and the places where they operate. Our Awards are a fantastic opportunity, not only to reward responsible business, but also to raise awareness of the great things that Northern Ireland companies are doing throughout the year. We had a considerable increase in entries this year. The standard was exceptionally high, and I think all of our judges found the shortlisting process a challenge. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our finalists the very best of luck.”

Winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner at Belfast Waterfront Hall on Thursday 1 June.
