Belfast Trust Cleans Up at BICSc Northern Ireland Nation's 2017 Awards Ceremony


On Thursday 7th September, The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) Northern Ireland Nation named Trust employee, Ruth Neeson, of Muckamore Abbey Hospital, as its 2017 Cleaning Operative of the Year.

Six winners were chosen from a variety of sectors, with all three Healthcare finalists being employees of the Trust. As well as Ruth, these included Jane Bones (Muckamore Abbey Hospital) and Kate Kelly (Suffolk Centre).

The City of Belfast’s Lord Mayor, Nuala Mc Allister, opened the ceremony in the company of the BICSc Northern Ireland Nation Chairman, Colm McGrath, BICSc Group CEO, Stan Atkins and Denise Hanson, the BICSc National Chairman.

18 finalists were chosen from a high standard of entries, which were submitted from both public and private sector organisations across Northern Ireland. Sponsors Zenith Hygiene, Consumable Products, Carey Floorcare, Kimberly Clark, Bunzl and BICSc Northern Ireland Nation had the task of judging the entries.

The Patient and Client Support Services Management team would like to extend a big congratulations to all of its staff who were nominated and especially to Ruth, Jane and Kate. Well done everyone!
