Carers Week 6 - 12 June 2016

If you are looking after someone living in the Belfast area, our Carers Support Service can help you with information, advice and training.

At Carers Trust we understand that everyone’s caring situation is unique and we will work with you to understand your needs and help you to manage your caring role. If we can’t help we can put you in touch with the service or support organisation that can. We know that many people do not see themselves as carers and we are keen to ensure that carers are identified and supported as early as possible on their caring journey.

Having the right advice and information can help you in your caring role and we can provide information on:

  • Supports and choices available to you as a carer
  • Carer support assessments
  • How to access advice on benefits
  • Belfast Health & Social Care Trust’s carer support services

Education and training

We provide regular education and training events to support carers in their caring role. These take place in locations across Belfast and are free to carers of people living in the Belfast Health Trust area. Topics will include:

  • Managing Stress
  • Mindfulness
  • First Aid
  • Diet and Nutrition.

The sessions will support you to look after your own health and wellbeing and provide an opportunity to meet other carers in a relaxed environment. All our services are free and confidential.
