Cheque Presentation to RBHSC

The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children has recently received a cheque for £20,000 from Curley’s.

The money had been raised through a variety of events which have included charity golf days, book fairs, and car boot sales. This latest donation brings the total presented by Curley’s to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children to over £120,000.

Speaking at the event Superintendent Radiographer Jenny McKinstry commented ‘We are thrilled to receive this much appreciated money which will afford us the opportunity to purchase an additional portable scanner for our department’.

Pat McCartan, Chairman of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust paid a sincere thank you to the Kennedy family and all the staff at Curley’s and the Kennedy Shopping Centre for their generous support over the years ‘which has enabled the RBHSC to provide a vital service to children from across Northern Ireland’.

A plaque was unveiled acknowledging the support of the Kennedy family through their fundraising efforts.
