Supporting Young People in their Community: Consultation and Equality Impact Assessment on Social Care Services for Young People (aged 11-17)

Belfast Health and Social Care Trust are sharing this consultation and equality impact assessment document to outline some of the changes needed in the delivery of social care services for young people.

This consultation document describes the current and proposed social care support for young people across Belfast and includes proposals for a community based Young People’s resource centre which will be supported by a wider range of foster care provision. Alternative formats are available on request.

We are keen to hear your views on these proposed changes and we are committed to taking on board feedback. The Trust recognises the wealth of experience and insight that service users, families, carers and representative organisations can offer about the delivery of responsive services.
Our formal consultation begins on 3rd July 2014 and will close on 25th September 2014.

Both the consultation document and equality impact assessment each have
a pro forma included within the overall document – you can write to us or email us. We will also be happy to facilitate meetings with interested individuals or groups about our proposals.
