Induction Process Information for Trainee Doctors
The induction process has four elements listed below. All elements must be completed before you start working for the Trust, but can be done in any order.
1. Induction Event
A short induction will take place in a number of locations across the Trust on:
- F2s and other Grades Wednesday 1 February 2012

2. Online Induction
All new trainee doctors are required to complete the online induction at Training Tracker prior to starting at the Belfast Trust.
Training Tracker can be accessed by visiting http://nih.trainingtracker.co.uk
It consists of a number of modules which each take approximately 10 minutes to complete. At the end of each module you are required to print a certificate confirming your successful completion and keep in your portfolio.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have registered on Training Tracker.

If online induction is not completed by the end of February it will result in a delay to processing study leave until induction has been completed.
3. Mandatory Training
It is essential that the following training is completed before commencing work:
- Mandatory Induction Training (Training Tracker)
- Right Patient Right Blood Training
- BMJ Hyponatraemia module
A Certificate of Completion must be signed and returned to Medical HR along with your new start documentation.
4. Reading Material
You will receive an induction booklet by e-mail, it is essential that you read this information. Please confirm you have received the induction booklet by return e-mail. If you have not received this by 25 January 2012 please contact Ann Buchanan at ann.buchanan@belfasttrust.hscni.net
