Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF)

For each post in the Trust, the knowledge and skills required have been outlined. This is used to support you as you progress through your first 12 months in your new job and as you further develop in your role.

Assistance to Study

The Assistance to Study Policy (available from HR) sets out ways in which Belfast Health and Social Care Trust will support individuals in their development through both the provision of time and financial contribution.

Professional Development

When you join the Trust as a health or social care professional, you can expect to be developed professionally in line with patient and service needs and in line with requirements of CPD and your registering body.

Support Worker Development

As a Support Worker in the Trust you will be seen as key to the success of the Trust and a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team. The Trust publishes an annual Learning and Development Portfolio which gives details of opportunities for staff to access training and to develop their skills. The training includes:
