Hemsworth Court is a supported housing scheme for people with dementia in the Shankill area and was developed in partnership with Trust, Helm Housing Association and Supporting People.

Health Minister, Jim Wells said: “Enabling people to live well with dementia is one of the greatest challenges that we face in health and social care at present and into the future. It is recognised that we need to work together to improve the understanding of dementia in wider society, and reduce stigma and isolation.

The Hemsworth Court scheme is a great example of what can be achieved for people with dementia and their carers to support them to live as part of the community for as long as possible. The facilities here are state of the art and will provide a safe and secure environment for people with dementia.”
