New Leadership and Innovation Academy launched

This week Belfast Trust launched a new Leadership and Innovation Academy.

The Academy is designed to support our staff as they drive improvement in services, translating research into practice and use proven technology to provide the best possible health and social care to our patients and clients.

Launching the Academy this week at the Landmark Titanic building, Health Minister Edwin Poots said: “Health and Social Care continues to face increasing challenges - a growing ageing population and ever-increasing demands in a tough financial climate. In order to meet this demand, we need to radically transform the way we deliver services.”

“Good leadership and Innovation will be more important than ever as we move forward in the implementation of ‘Transforming Your Care’. That is why it is important that the Leadership and Innovation Academy has been launched. It will equip staff to take the reform programme forward and to share learning and best practice both internally and externally in delivering this goal.”

Annual Leadership Conference

The Academy was launched at the Belfast Trust Annual Leadership Conference

This year’s conference theme was LEADINNOVATE-ENGAGE and included an Innovation Expo with over 20 exhibitors from across the Trust showcasing how innovative work is having a significant impact in delivering better outcomes for patients and clients.
