Facilities (back)
Musgrave Park Hospital
There are three 24-bedded wards in the Meadowlands Unit at Musgrave Park Hospital (72 beds in total):
- Ward 1 provides acute general rehabilitation.
- Ward 2 provides primarily rehabilitation of elderly fracture patients.
- Ward 3 provides mainly general rehabilitation.
Outpatients Clinic: facilities are available for a small number of day care patients to receive physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
Forster Green Hospital
Wards 5 and 6 (28 beds) provide a range of services including rehabilitation, respite care and long term care.
The Activity Nursing Department and Voluntary Services Department provide a range of activities. Patients also benefit from frequent visits by animals and their handlers from the Pro-Active Therapy Scheme.

- During 2002/2003 the Care of the Elderly Service completed 957 in-patient episodes, which equates to 27,534 'bed days'.
- There is no waiting list for Care of the Elderly Services.
- An Elderly Users Focus Group meets every 4-6 weeks.
