We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the course of these works.

Chaplains /Church

Illness of any kind can be a very worrying and isolating experience to have to endure – both for patients and their family too. They may find themselves feeling different emotions and any number of thoughts and questions may be going through their mind.

Chaplains visit wards regularly and have time to listen and reflect. They are interested in people’s journey and seek to support the hospital community by their presence and prayers. The service we offer is confidential and non-judgmental and is available to everyone, irrespective of faith or background.

Hospital Church

The Hospital Church is located beside our offices on A Floor.  It is open 24 hours for private prayer and reflection; details of worship times are given below.  While the Church is dedicated as a Christian place of worship, people of other faiths and none are welcome to visit and spend time there.

Quiet Room

The Quiet Room is located on Level 1 of the Cancer Centre.  It is set aside as a place of quiet, prayer, reflection and peace for peoples of all faiths and none. It is open 24 hours a day.  A regular service of Christian Worship is held here.  Space is set aside for private prayer.
