Telephones, Television and Radio
Patients will have access to the latest technology with a combined television and telephone at each bed. Patients will be able to receive telephone calls directly to their bedside, as each patient will be given their own telephone number. This means that patients can be contacted directly by their relatives and friends. If you move to another bed space, however your number will change. The unit will also have an individual television monitor with access to TV channels. This also provides access to the radio. A card can be purchased from a card machine or a member of HTS staff. Cost
Mater Radio brings the hospital its own radio service at the following times: Tuesday – Friday, 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Members of the hospital radio will visit you to take requests. |
