General Outpatients

The Outpatients Department is committed to providing the highest level of individual care and attention to the community it serves. The general Outpatient’s department is situated level 2 in the Dempsey building. Level 2 also provides access to the ECG, Dietetics, Audiology and Patient Support Officer.

Clinics are held between 8.30am and 5pm with the exception of two Eye clinics, which are held on a Tuesday evening between 5pm and 8pm.

Our aim is to see patients within thirty minutes of their appointment time but as some patients may require more time with the doctor this is not always possible. We ask patients to allow at least one hour for their visit, as they may need so see more that one specialist and require test and investigations.

Ambulance transport and transport with escorts can only be provided on medical grounds and on the recommendation of your General Practitioner or hospital doctor.

If for any reason you cannot attend for your appointment please contact the hospital immediately to allow us to offer the appointment to a patient waiting to be seen.
