Media Release Thursday 14 June 2007 Vintage Tractor Road Run raises funds for orthopaedic research Staff at Musgrave Park Hospital are very grateful to a Portadown family that has raised a whopping £26,000 for orthopaedic research in recent years. The family of Portadown man, George Richardson, who underwent major joint replacement surgery in Musgrave Park Hospital, recently held their sixth annual Apple Blossom Vintage Tractor Road Run to say ‘thank you’ for the care he received while he was a patient there. George, accompanied by his niece Lynsey and nephew Kris, visited the Hospital recently to present Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr Ian Mawhinney, with a cheque for £5007 – the proceeds of this year’s event.
