CLINICAL SERVICESPurpose of the Core Hospital ServicesThe purpose of the Core Hospital Service is to provide an in-patient assessment and treatment service to complement and support community services and families in meeting the needs of people with a learning disability living in the community. Services are provided on an inpatient and an outpatient basis. Scope of the ServicesA regional service is provided for patients who present with a diverse range of needs. Services are delivered in a variety of settings with safety and security paramount. Each person admitted has an individual collaborative treatment plan drawn up with the objective of providing an effective assessment, treatment and discharge plan to enable him or her to be supported in a community setting.
