Specialist Services for People with a Physical Disability or Sensory ImpairmentThe Trust aims to provide a range of care and support services to enable people with physical and sensory disabilities to maximise their potential and live as independently as possible. The needs of people providing care to relatives or friends with a physical disability or sensory impairment will also be at the forefront of service provision in terms of an increased range of respite options. Some strategic priorities include: • To increase wheelchair provision within existing resources. • To establish local rehabilitation services for people with brain injuries. • To review protocols for managing the needs of people with a physical disability or sensory impairment to ensure that there are clear care pathways. • To develop a new rehabilitation suite for sensory impairment services. |
