The Institute of Psychoanalysis THE INTRODUCTORY LECTURESREGIONAL SEMINARS BY DVDA series of lectures followed by discussions in small groups. New Intake starting September 2007 The Introductory Lectures are given by leading psychoanalysts and take place in London at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and are viewed via DVD at the Centre for Psychotherapy. The two-term series aims to provide an overall view of the most important concepts in psychoanalysis and its main applications. The course is suitable for people new to the field, as well as those with experience. A viewing of each lecture will take place and will be followed by a discussion. Reading lists will be provided for participants.
Each term consists of ten seminars, held during the Autumn and Spring terms of 2007/2008. While it is possible to attend for one term only, participants are strongly advised to attend the entire series to ensure continuity of discussion.
