Our Services
The management structure of the Royal Hospitals reflects crucial commitments to the National Health Service and our local community. Key features of the structure include the full involvement of senior professionals including medical consultants, at all levels.
At present the hospitals are divided into clinical and non-clinical directorates, each with its own senior management team made up of a director (a medical consultant in the clinical directorates) a directorate manager and other senior staff. Devolving responsibility in this way has ensured that decisions are made in the best interests of the patients we serve.
All clinical directors are members of the hospital council which also includes operational directors. At present two thirds of the hospital council is made up of senior consultant staff who have key roles in the day to day management of the hospitals. |
