Guide To Mental Health Services
in Knockbracken Healthcare Park
South & East Belfast Trust is a Community Trust, this means that most of our services are provided close to home in the community through clinics, health centres and specialist centres. However, for those suffering from more serious types of mental illness, in-patient care maybe required. South & East Belfast Trust provide most of this type of care from their facilities in Knockbracken Healthcare Park.
Coming to Hospital for the first time can be a worrying experience. With this in mind this section of our website is designed to give you information regarding patients' services on the Knockbracken Healthcare Park Site. This will help both patients and visitors find their way around and also ensure that you get the full benefit of the wide range of facilities and services available on site.
Knockbracken Healthcare Park occupies 275 acres of parkland on the outskirts of South Belfast and is located on the Saintfield Road approximately two miles on the city side of Carryduff (see map).

How to get to the Healthcare Park:
An Ulsterbus which departs from the Europa Bus Centre Glengal Street, via either Carryduff, Saintfield, Downpatrick, Newcastle, Ballynahinch or Kilkeel passes the main entrance to the healthcare park site. This bus can be accessed at any bus stop on the Ormeau or Saintfield Roads. Approximately half of the Estate is utilised by South & East Belfast Health and Social Services Trust for the provision of patient services for people with mental health problems. The remainder of the estate is occupied by approximately thirty voluntary organisations who work in the healthcare field. |
