Knockbracken Mental Health Services is a Psychiatric Facility comprised of 12 wards providing short and long term care for people with mental illness. The services are located in detached villas throughout the parkland of Knockbracken Healthcare Park, serving the South & East Belfast and Castlereagh catchment area with a population of 205,000. • Fifty percent of wards are integrated (mixed gender) having the flexible capacity to accommodate fifteen to thirty people. • Each ward is unique, in that they provide care and treatment to meet the complex needs of those who experience varying severity of psychiatric illness Acute Admission Units Dorothy Gardner Admission Unit – for male patients (02890 565387) Intensive Nursing Care Unit
