Service Provided
The Dementia Wards based in Knockbracken Healthcare Park admit patients from South and East Belfast (Mahee and Valencia) and North and West Belfast (Skerries). Admissions are arranged through the Consultant in charge of the ward.
The patients admitted to these wards usually have an established diagnosis of Dementia. The focus of these admissions is to assess, treat, rehabilitate and care for patients who may have associated behavioural difficulties, which may not be manageable in the community.
