Early Intervention Team

This service provides education, treatment and support for people and their carers who are suffering from a First Episode of Psychosis.

Psychosis is a debilitating illness, which can affect all aspects of a person’s life.
Using a range of treatments, the team, which includes Nursing, Medical, Social Work and Occupational Therapy staff, work together to enable the person and their carers to recover their social functioning, physical health and mental wellbeing.

A member of the team is identified as the key worker for each individual and their carer. The key worker co-ordinates the treatment and will assist in accessing other services provided by the Trust or other organisations, which will be helpful in their recovery.
