How to access the Service

If you think you may have autism and are 18 years or over, speak to your GP or a healthcare practitioner from Belfast Trust who supports you.

They will send a referral to the service.  The team will discuss the referral, and if appropriate you will be placed on a waiting list.

Your GP or healthcare practitioner will be able to advise you of additional support available while you are waiting for your assessment. You will receive a letter when the assessment process is ready to begin.

If you have an intellectual disability, the referral may be forwarded to a different service if appropriate.
