Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology is the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases of the digestive system.
 
This service provides outpatient, Endoscopy  and Inpatient elective and emergency services for patients with a range of conditions including:

• Inflammatory Bowel Disease
• Coeliac Disease and
• Iron Deficiency Anaemia

Gastroenterology services are currently provided in:

• Belfast City Hospital - Level 6 – 6 North and 6 South
• Mater Hospital - Ward E
• Royal Victoria Hospital- Wards 6D and 6E

The service forms part of a planned and integrated approach to patient care and is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
