Paediatric Dermatology

The Paediatric Dermatology team deals with skin conditions affecting children from birth up until the age of 14. Patients older than 14 can then be transferred to the adult dermatology service in the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Common conditions we treat include:

  • Atopic eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Skin infections
  • Vascular and pigmented birthmarks
  • Acne
  • Urticaria
  • Hair and nail disorders
  • Fragile skin disorders

How to Access the Service:

If you would like your child to be seen by theĀ dermatological service, you should contact your GP or hospital consultant, and they will be able to refer your child if needed.

This service does not accept direct referrals from parents.

Paediatric Dermatology services are delivered at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
